The meeting was called to order by Pres. Bill Dunlevy at 7:00 after our monthly potluck.  25 attended, 6 were new.

Minutes and Tres. Reports were read and approved. The bank has announced an increase in fees.  We have been receiving free checking.  Frank Holt made a motion to investigate new fees and seek more information and that a decision made at the next meeting.  Motion passed.

Old Business- Ice Fishing Jamboree was well attended and everyone had a good time.  Pres. Bill Dunlevy said a crew met on Friday to chip the snow for detecting.

New Business –Chicken – There again is a problem with access to the claims.  Members were advised to go to the Chicken Gold Camp Web site for current information.

New GPAA web site – Bill Bear has assessed the new site.  It is still being developed and may offer members new services.  He will follow the developments closely.  Our participation in sharing membership lists will be discussed at the next meeting.

Outdoor Week – We will participate in May.  Pres. Bill Dunlevy described the activity.

Announcements – Club outing will be Memorial Day weekend at Crow Creek Mine.
 

Panning Kits are available for $85.00.  This includes GPAA membership.

Introduction of new members –Dana and Judy Reddish.  Dana is a manager at Alaska Mining and diving.  He would like to join and promote recreational mining more. Don Woods is a new miner.  John Mink has mined at Crow Creek. Mark Scott and Jeff Hasers work for Otis Elevators.  Jim Wedmer has mined at Hope and Nome.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:40.
